Ｖａｍｐｉｒｅ ＶＳ Ｈｕｍａｎ
Been watching MDWAV 2 recently. I'm just left with the last 2 episodes.
Needless to say, it's still as touching as ever. and i think MDWAV 2 is on equal standing with MDWAV 3 now, in terms of my preference. Not that i was disappointed with MDWAV 2, just that recently I'm just getting more and more pleased with MDWAV 3. Maybe I was shakened by others opinion of MDWAV 3 initially about the confusing plot, but come to think of it, the ideas embedded in the show - ain't they something that resonate with me?
My last time watching MDWAV 2 as a complete series was in 2001? Well, the year it was screened on Channel 8. that's lik 8yrs back or something? But all the scenes were rather fresh in my memory. And i realise that the show has influenced some of my thoughts back then, which surfaced only recently.
For one, i've said that.. it's useless to turn back time, because no matter how different things are, when you have the same person there with the same personality, things will still proceed in the same direction, leading to the same ending. when i said this, i could feel that it is something very familiar, but i can't seem to recall where i've heard this before. well, it's actually something that Zhen Zhen said. “都一样。就算时间能倒流，一样的人，仍然会做出一样的决定。结果还是一样的。”
MDWAV gave me new insights this time round. Not just about the love b/w KTY and MXL, not about Fate, but about how Chan 13 has subtly used vampire to reflect reality in our lives. Using humans to portray human is normal. But when you use something in non-existent such as vampire, the freedom is there for you to exagerate ideas such that it hits viewer hard. Now, if it seems too obvious, the difficult part now is for viewers to realise that all these exaggerations are really just about them, or rather about human.
