Rumours about MDWAV 4??
Rumours of MDWAV 4:
1) MDWAV 4 may start filming the earliest end of this year. Meanwhile, preparation is on-going. 2) MDWAV 4 will mainly use new actors.
3) MDWAV old actors have basically finished their stories.
4) MDWAV 3 is actually the conclusion for MDWAV 1 and 2.
5) MDWAV 4 storyline will be brand new.
6) Plot/storyline handled by Chan Sup Sam.
7) Story will be based on the Three Kingdom.
So sad.. Does this mean no more Joey and Eric? They are the spirit behind the whole show and MDWAV is not MDWAV without them.. They are the unchanging element of MDWAV and all 3 series include them.. Unlike other characters whereby their roles in the show keeps changing..
Well, but perhaps they are right too. In the sense that there had already been 3 series of the love between Ma Xiao Ling and Kuang Tian You. This couple has been firmly established as a classic already. In fact, by series 3, their love seems to have lost its special feel. As compared to the 1st and 2nd series, they were faced by difficulties ( mainly from Zhen Zhen ). However, in the 3rd series, they are already officially together and all they can do in the show is to be well, together. If this were to be dragged on to series 4, MXL and KTY plot would indeed seem real draggy..
In fact, there has been much speculaton about the role of KTY and MXL in MDWAV 3, which I sort of agree too. Their story has somehow ended in MDWAV 2, when they were deeply established as a couple gone to live with the Pangu tribe. Their return in MDWAV 3 is merely to bring their child, otherwise known as Tianya, into the story. This paves the road for MDWAV 4 whereby the new generation will take over the bulk of the show..
Still, can we retain Joey and Eric? Perhaps let them untake a brand new role in the brand new plot? Just like what Chen 13 has always been doing to the other casts. Same ppl, but diff role. Why not do the same thing for them too?
Actually, if MDWAV 3 is the official conclusion to the MDWAV series, I dun see why they should film MDWAV 4, which is rumoured to be a brand new story. It doesn’t make any sense.. If it’s a brand new story with new plot and new casts, why not just start a new show with a new name? What for call it the MDWAV?
As to the rumoured 3 endings of MDWAV ( though I only know of 2 ), I guess this is done purposely in order to give a wider choice of plots in MDWAV 4 ( if it’s going to be a continuation after alll.. ) Chen 13 can either choose to continue from ending 1 or 2 or 3. But from what I see, many viewers are complaining about the bulk of unexplained plots in the ending ( Though I haven seen it for myself ). So, perhaps after all MDWAV 4 will still be a continuation of MDWAV 3..
What I fear is that there’ll be this kinda of plot:
Answers to the questions in MDWAV 3 will first be explained in the first few episodes of MDWAV 4. After which, there’ll be a worldwide major crisis. Suddenly, time travel comes into the picture again, and they start tracking back to the historical period where everything once began.. ( Which is kinda weird.. as in, you show everything happening now and the future, before explaining the start of everything in the 4th series.. )
